*We will be offering 6th grade girls' volleyball and 6th grade boys' football programs in partnership with the Bend Parks and Recreation District. Registration is at the Park District Office, 200 Pacific Park Lane,Bend. All practices and games will take place at HDMS.
** Boys' and Girls' basketball programs are operated in conjunction with Bend Parks and Rec. Registration and payment are made through Parks and Rec., but the school keeps the athletic physicals on record and teams are organized through the schools).

Physical: 6th & 7th graders are required to have a doctor's exam
each year they participate in a sport. 8th graders who have had a
physical as a 7th grader are NOT required to get a new exam.

2. Pay to participate fee for 2009-10 school is $40.00. Cash or checks are accepted; make checks payable to "High Desert Middle School". (Please note the exception with regard to boys and girls basketball aand 6th grade volleyball and 6th grade football which is paid through Bend Parks and Rec.) Scholarship forms are available in the Main Office.
3. Attend parent team meeting, if offered.
4. Registration for each sport season is as follows:

Other handy information:

Most High Desert sports meet for practice every day including Wednesdays. Please check the practice schedule for details. Encourage your student to make a real commitment to their sport and come to practice every day!

HDMS offers an activity bus that can transport students to Jewell Elementary and The Country Store in Deschutes River Woods. The activity bus will leave HDMS at 5:10 PM after all practices.

Refunds are available to students only during the first week of practice, or if the student becomes injured during the season and is unable to participate.

Our coaches make every effort to stay in contact with their players and families. If you don't get the information you think you need, please feel free to contact the Main Office at High Desert where every attempt will be made to get the information you seek.
