HELLO EVERYONE!
We are very excited to welcome you back to Pilot Butte for another outstanding year. I hope you are having a wonderful summer. We can't wait to meet all of our new students and parents, and welcome back our returning 7th and 8th graders! I am ecstatic and honored to be your new Principal. In case you have not heard, Stephanie Bennett and I have switched positions. She is now the Principal at Cascade Middle School.
Let me tell you a little about myself. I have been Principal at Cascade Middle School for the past three years. Prior to that, I was working in Ann Arbor, Michigan as a middle school Principal, and before as a math teacher. I love sports, especially skiing, swimming and biking. My wife is a school nurse for the District, and we have two boys, ages 13 and 15. I am very much looking forward to being a part of the Pilot Butte Community!
I am eager to begin the year working on our goals of increasing student learning for all, enhancing our school culture, recognizing and celebrating student achievements, and strengthening community involvement. Outstanding student achievement and exemplary customer service will remain as priorities. One of my favorite activities is to be in classrooms, where your children will see me a lot this year.
I am looking forward to meeting you next week during our "Giant Kickoff" days. Please note the "

" link on our website, which includes our new changes for this year. Also, everyone is invited and encouraged to attend our Open House on Thursday, September 2 between 6-7 pm beginning in the gym. Parents and students will have the opportunity to walk around campus, open their lockers and meet their teachers. Please join us for a free hot dog barbecue, too.
